I have to clear some space on my shelves, so I need to part with some of my collection. I picked up a few of these little gems on clearance, so now I can let one or two go (presumably to good homes). Revell has released a line of 1/100 scale aircraft aimed at the intermediate (Level 3) modeler. These have a low part count and reasonable assembly to allow you to build your skills with a weekend build. This kit represents the Boeing AH-64A Apache attack helicopter that was designed to halt an onslaught of Soviet tanks into West Germany and other NATO countries. Versions are still used today and drive fear into the hearts of enemy tankers. I found plenty of listings for this kit on eBay (almost all from overseas!), but as a Top Rated Plus US Seller, I have this in stock and can reliably ship this very quickly. Here is some of the information that I have found online about this kit: The Revell website (revell.de) has a listing for this kit that shows the box, a completed model, a short video (with German text) along with photos of the kit features and the following promotional blurb: Easy to build model kit of the modern combat helicopter in the first production version. · Movable main rotor· Laser, sensor system and on-board gun on the front fuselage Authentic decals for the following version: AH-64A, 3/227th Aviation Regiment, US Army, Hanau Army Airfield, Germany, 1988 Scalemates.com has a listing that shows it is a 2016 release based on the 1990 new tooling that has also been released under the Accurate Miniatures, Kangnam and Aoshima labels over the years. They have an excellent photo of the exciting box art and there is a link to download the complete full-color 12-page instruction book and painting guide. There are links to plenty of aftermarket products, galleries and walk-arounds available on this popular and lethal tank killer. Holger Syring published a bare-bones In-Box Review on the German-language ipmsdeutschland.de site with photos of the two sprues and the box art. Being a man of few words, his Conclusion was: “The kit is well done. Just the right thing for beginners of the hobby of model making.” This kit is in a side-opening box about 9.5” x 6” x 1.5”. As you can see from the pictures, the box is still sealed with two large tape disks, so it is factory sealed and absolutely gift-ready. This item contains an injection molded plastic model kit with 56 green and clear plastic parts and a set of decals to build a deadly AH-64A Apache attack helicopter from the Cold War era.
