I have to clear some space on my shelves, so I need to part with some of my collection. It is hard for me to believe that the B-1B has been in service for over 30 years now. To me, it is a symbol of the Cold War, but it has found new missions and performed them well. This is obviously one of the first B-1Bs delivered and now you can have it in a convenient size for displaying on your desk or shelf. Dragon has created a series of Bones in this scale, so you have your choice of versions to display and all are highly detailed and fully finished diecast collectibles. The B-1 Lancer bomber is the US Air Force’s only serving variable-sweep wing aircraft. The futuristic design was conceived to create a long-range, low-level, supersonic penetrator bomber that could deliver nuclear weapons. Built by Rockwell, the B-1B Lancer appeared in 1986, and it has since been converted to carry out conventional bomber missions. Today a total of 67 “Bones” (the name is taken from its designation B-One) remain in service with the USAF. The new Dragon Warbirds model depicts an aircraft from the official Lancer Test Program.
