If my grandmother had given me a similar watch many years ago, it would not be in better Original condition than this one is today. Description – 1912 Elgin 0S Ladies Pocket Watch. Pendant at 3-o’clock. Sub-seconds Hand at 6-o’clock – Pendant wind & set Hunter 7-Jewel movement; Serial #16178268 – Philadelphia Watch Case Co. “Victory” Hunter Case with matching serial numbers & engraved guilloche front and back covers – Pocketwatchdatabasedotcom data & photos match exactly this movement (see photos): o Grade: 320 o Model: 2 o Class: 116 o Date: 1912 o 3/4 plate o No adjustments Condition – Very Light use & wear are apparent – Complete & Intact – All case surfaces excellent – Dial cover is snug in place, releases and snaps closed properly – Runs properly – As for all vintage watches, if the buyer plans for the watch to be worn, it merits cleaning. I found this 113-year-old watch unwound in a family storage box where it had been for at least 20 years. I wound it until the movement ran properly at about 1/2 wound. After observing it run and keeping time for about an hour, I carefully released the mainspring.
