This listing, MY NUMBER 1923859M84012, is for ONE (1) Carded Lot/Assortment of Twelve (12) authentic, Circulated Condition, Common, 75% Copper, 25% Nickel Alloy Composition U.S. Jefferson Head Nickels from the years 1938 through 1942 and 1949 through 1959 as business struck and issued by the Official U.S. Government Mint Facilities in Denver, Philadelphia and San Francisco. These coins are guaranteed to be at least 65 years old and some of them are as old as 86 years! The assortment you receive will be randomly selected from my bin which has a mix of Circulated Condition Coins within the date range bearing “D”, “S” and NO Mint Marks, release taped to a card and shipped via an eBay Standard Envelope. Most of the coins will have NO mint marks. Multiple orders MAY ship rolled. The composition of these coins is a 75% Copper, 25% Nickel Alloy. This alloy is typical of ALL Nickels issued by the United States Mint starting with Shield Nickels in 1866 and continuing with Barber, Buffalo and finally Jefferson Nickels starting in 1938. The lone exception was the war time emergency issued 1942-1945 Silver Alloy Nickels which are NOT included in this listing. These Jefferson Nickels bear the Monticello image on Reverse. As of this listing, these older Dated Nickels can still be found sporadically in circulation, but that is rapidly changing. Thousands of hoarders race to cull circulated nickels daily to sift out what is left in circulation.
