This poster features the rousing and celebratory image of an American soldier being hoisted onto the shoulders of a factory worker, an African American and others with the title Speed the Day with WAR BONDS. The back of the poster has a small text box with information on the poster’s artist Joseph Hirsch who had been embedded as a war correspondent and artist with American forces in the Pacific. North Africa and Italy during WWII. This vintage original poster is in very good condition with no tape and only light handling wear and a single staple hole on each corner.
