This is the best deal you’ll find on a quality setup like this. This 8″ booster is ideal for most small to mid size street rods and customs. The 8″ dual booster offers 27% better stopping power over 8″ single boosters, making this setup much better for increased safety on your vehicle. This is the best deal you’ll find on a quality setup like this. The booster mounts with a 4-bolt pattern. The 4 bolts are in a perfect square and are 3 3/8″ apart (center to center). This also includes a brand new Bail Top BLACK master cylinder. This brand new BLACK master cylinder features a 1″ bore and the ports measure 9/16″ and 1/2″. This master cylinder will work with any drum/drum, disc/drum, or disc/disc setup. This is a 4 port master cylinder but does come with the plugs so you can use it as a 2 port. Finally this comes with a set of Black Painted Mounting Brackets designed for your 1955 1956 1957 Chevy Tri-5 Vehicles. This high quality kit has a black painted finish and includes the Brackets in addition to the necessary Rod/Clevis. The proportioning valve included in this kit is for Disc/Drum applications. This valve performs all the necessary functions when using disc brakes in the front and drum brakes in the rear including the followingProportioning: As force is applied to the brakes and the car begins to lean forward, less braking force is needed in the rear. This valve decreases the pressure to the rear, preventing lock up.Metering: Metering is used in the front disk brake portion in the disc/drum system to delay application of the front discs allowing the slower reacting drum brakes to catch up. This provides rear stability on wet surfaces and helps prevent front pad wear. There is no metering function with the disc/disc setup.Residual Pressure: Drum Brakes require residual pressure of 10 lbs. to be held in the line. This pressure keeps the brake shoes close to the drums giving you a more firm pedal feel.
