This specific knife was a Custom Shop version done with a FACTORY issued cerakote that was applied by BlownDeadline (the best in the business). Evidence that proves this was done at the factory is the laser engraved logo is visible clearly, which would not be visible if done after-market. I purchased this knife directly from Busse Combat website around October 2023. The desert tiger camo is very subdued color scheme which is likely a variant of the original Vietnam-era camoflage pattern known as ‘Jungle Tiger’ camo. This has what appears to be a flat dark earth type of color substituted for the olive drab green of the ‘Jungle Tiger’ camo. Very cool. Knife is immaculate and brand new/unused, no scuffs or oxidation can be found on the knife. I am the original purchaser from Swamp Rat and the knife has been stored exclusively in a climate controlled environment free of pets/smoke/moisture/etc. The canvas Micarta has been coated as well with the Flat Dark Earth base coat, which helps to seal the Micarta to fluids, etc. Excerpt below is taken from VooDooWitchDoctor at Bladeforums.com (who is in charge of production at Swamp Rat Knife Works currently) at the release of this model.The model saw a very limited production run and was discontinued thereafter. —————————————————– “The Bog Runner is coming Sunday February 5, 2023 @ 9PM Eastern to the Busse Combat website.
