This vintage pocket watch from the 1920s-30s is a rare find for collectors. Made by O. Maire, Inc.; (Otto Maire) in Switzerland, it features an open face with Arabic numeral indices on a white paper faceplate and black hands. The watch has a clear lucite case that snaps together and a small handle that swivels back and forth to expose the watch stem. It is a mechanical (manual) movement watch with 1 jewel and a paper faceplate marked “MIAMI” and “SWISS MADE”. This pocket watch is unadjusted and has a goldtone metal finish. It comes with a unit quantity of 1 and has no water resistance. The watch is not customized and does not come with papers, service records, original box/packaging, or a manual/booklet.Backside Markings: “O. MAIRE, INC. / SWISS MADE / UNADJUSTED / ONE1JEWEL / PAT (Swiss symbol) D.R.P. / OXM”Number Plate Marking: “BASE METAL”Watch Case Diameter: 1.5 inCondition: Item has been tested and does run…but it appears to be a little slow…most likely needs professional cleaning and lubrication. The lucite face and back plates do have abrasions on them…possible could be polished out if preferred.
