IMAGES SHOW BOTH SIDES Both tools are double-sided with the image on both sides. The design is taken from mythology and features the god Cupid tenderly kissing Psyche to bring her back to life. They are surrounded by heavenly clouds as this is the moment of the actual kiss and Psyche has not yet emerged from her lifeless slumber. She presents passively, while Cupid urgently but tenderly clasps her face in his hand so that his kiss to her lips will be true. Both tools are in above average antique condition for utilitarian objects that were in daily use. The button / glove hook has a shallow ding on one side, right beneath the tiny delicate script monogram. The other side has a tiny inconsequential pin dot and shallow dent. I’m super picky and these are all basically nothing. The tool part is in minty shiny condition with no rust or scratches. Has full UB markings. The only thing of consequence to mention is that there is a rattling sound if you shake the tool. That is from dried glue that has come loose and is trapped inside. It must be just a small piece because there’s enough glue left so that the connection between handle and hook is super-tight. The nail file has no dents to speak of, or any issues really. The file portion is German steel and it has no rust. Marked GERMANY. The UB logo has mostly been polished away so that only the word STERLING remains. The last image includes a shoe horn listed in a separate auction. It’s in absolute mint condition. We have many other items available in the Love’s Dream pattern.
