This Gift Lot of Philadelphia Phillies Baseball Cards features players from the 1960s and 70s. These cards range from VG-EXMT condition. No severe damage, no trash. All cards pictured. No creases or markings, however there could be something I missed. Features1960 – 1 very nice card – see how he’s in a Tigers uniform? – it was an offseason trade1964 – 3 nice cards & the Roy Sievers is a little less… scuffed, played with – Siever led his league in HR & RBI in ’57 – the red sleeves of John Boozer stand out1966 – 5 great cards – crisp, centered pretty well aside from the Power Plus card (very nice pic – natural, thankfully)1967 – 1 fine card – just off centered – Phillies starter for 9 years – upward gaze pose is great1968 – 2 really good cards -Johnny Callison (had some big seasons from ’61-’69 – 3-time all-star) – and Woodie Fryman, 18 yrs 141 wins1969 – 2 nice cards – looks like picture day1970 – 4 great cards including a glimpse of the dugout in the Tony Taylor card – and Larry Hisle with the Topps All-Star Rookie trophy – Grant Jackson, 18-yrs pitching1971 – 3 great cards – black borders – Willie Montanez rookie card – and manager Lucchesi after his first season with Philly (73-88)1972 – 4 great cards – and I love the orange, blue and green – power-man Greg Luzinski pictured here after hitting 100 HRs in 3 minor league seasons – and Oscar Gamble – the Phillies Rookies card has a stain on the back … likely from 1972 gum1973 – 9 sharp cards – Denny Doyle, Bill Robinson, Jim Lonborg and manager Danny Ozark – Barry Lersch with the great action shot at Candlestick Park, SF – the Cesar Tovar card has a dent1974 – 8 solid cards – players all so still, posed – neat cartoons on the back – and 2 TRADED1975 – 1 card – this is a nice VG+ card but it has a pen mark on the back – Mike Schmidt! and the Philly familiar, Dick Allen1976 – 9 nice cards – Garry Maddox with that green turf background – Dave Cash, bat & smile – Tom Underwood with the Topps Rookie trophy – and Dick Allen in his return to Philadelphia – and Tony Taylor, who held down second base for 11 years – plus Mike Schmidt again in a HR leaders card with Luzinski1977 – 4 really good cards – Tug McGraw & Larry Bowa (12-yr starting shortstop, 5-time all-star) 58 total These cards come in a hard plastic box for safe keeping. They’re meant to be looked at, shared. There’s texture and depth and art in these cards. And the backs are fun and interesting. Your Phillies fan will be tickled to receive them.
