If this is your pattern, this will be the most breathtaking piece in your set!Offering a silverplate Soup or Oyster Ladle in the 1893 pattern Columbia made by 1847 Rogers Bros.The inside of the bowl has a matte finish.For its age this is in unbelievable condition. Exception – on the back of the bowl is a tiny heel dot.I’ve been around flatware enough to know it is not from use but caused by poor storage practices. These big ladles need to be stored in their own cloth instead of being in a drawer or bottom of a silverware chest. So, lesson is – store your large flatware pieces in their own bags or cloths to keep this kind of wear from happening.I will be sending a drawstring bag with this piece to use until you can get a nice tarnish proof cloth to store it in.
