I am an electrical engineer and started making unit for Nakamichi cassette decks for people on the NakTalk email list. Up to four remote receivers can be used in the same area without interaction (by configuring internal jumpers for different remote codes). Power for the remote adapter is supplied by the deck. No AC adapter required. Each remote adapter is professional designed and built using a mix of surface mount and through hole components for years of reliable operation. In case there is a problem it is covered by a 1 year warranty. This unit plugs into the 12 pin remote connector on the back of the deck for Play, Stop, Fast Forward and Rewind. Plugs into the 6 pin connector for Record (only CX-8xx decks have the capability to record). Once connected control the deck from any universal remote programmed for Sony VCR (VHS, Beta, 8mm or Laser Disc). Comes with a universal remote programmed to control the Crown wireless adapter.
