Historic James River Plantation Collection Model #1844-000 by Hickory Chair Company. The graceful, slender reeded and tapered legs make this Sheraton settee sofa a classic style. Settee features an exposed wood rail across the top back and arms. Delicate Maple burl inlay is featured at each corner, along with a turned baluster detail between corner and arm. Decorative nail head trim lends enhancement to the lower back and slight proportions of the piece. Medium Mahogany is the finish on the frame. One piece spring down seat cushion. Hickory Chair’s James River Collection is the furniture industries longest furniture collection. Started in 1941, Hickory Chair replicated antiques found in the elegantly appointed interiors of plantation homes found along the James River in Virginia. Each piece is crafted in the Old World 18th century standards with deep hand rubbed finishes.
