Here’s the story… I bought this unit brand new to model the 6070, an AC6000 that tested with the GE test car on the B&P in Pennsylvania back in 1996 or 1997. I repainted portions of the cab to fix BLI paint errors and to cover over the name plate and former number which I removed. I added a silent decoder from NCE and it is programmed. All LEDs work. I also added a rear plow from Details West, painted and decaled to match the front. I added new headlight housings from Detail Associates to improve their looks and a DW K5LA airhorn. I also painted the trucks silver to match the prototype and I think I painted the white step edges. My research indicated these engines had blue tanks in thevfuel tank recess. I had the two tanks to put on, but never cut out the space for them on the fuel tank. The engine runs well, but still needs the cab numerals added. I waa going to gloss coat the blue and decal the new numbers but never got to that point. I did change the rear numbers though. I was also a going to add the antenna array to the roof but never got there. So it’s a mostly finished project that can be left as is, or finished. The engine otherwise is essentially brand new with only test run time. I can’t find the screws for the coupler boxes but the usual 2-56 screws found on almost everything should work fine. Since I changed eras and modeling locales, I have no interest in completing this project. Hoping someone else will! I can also removed the decoder if it is not wanted for a refund after the auction is finished. The dummy plug is included so it can go back to straight DC or be prepped for sound.
