The Vanguard V4455A2 Dorado flipper by Kizer Cutlery is a collaborative project between Kizer and custom knifemaker Matt Cucchiara of Cucchiara Custom Knives. It features a 3.5″ VG10 stonewashed blade with an organic recurved shape and sharpening choil. The bearing pivot system allows for smooth blade opening, as with all Kizer knives, and the action is quick, snappy and authoritative. The black/blue layered G10 handle has a solid, stout feeling and is extremely ergonomic. It features a titanium spring pocket clip, stainless steel liners and is sure to become an everyday carry favorite in no time since it’s priced well below its design and quality levels. Kizer uses high-tech wire EDM machines to cut the parts. This method is slower than laser or water jet but Kizer feels quality is worth the wait.
