You will receive three unrooted Opuntia cochenillifera pads, similar to what is shown in the pictures. This is the variegated version, and each one is different! This will range from 7″ to 12″ in length. You will get 3 different sizes, see the pictures. You will NOT get all smalls, or all large sizes! These are unrooted cuttings, but they are VERY easy to root. These are basically spineless, but may have very tiny glochids on them. Just stick them in a good quality cactus mix, and DO NOT WATER for 6 to 8 weeks. Then water thoroughly and they’ll grow like crazy. If it is below 50F at night, you can use a heating pad to promote root growth. NOTE: It may take up to 2 months or longer to root, if it is cold where you are. Keep them above 50F at night to promote rooting if it is cold where you live. I do guarantee that these will root! DO NOT WATER until they put out roots! You can tell they have rooted if you have them in soil by gently lifting the cutting. If it picks up the entire pot, it is rooted well enough to water. If it comes out of the soil, then it isn’t rooted yet. If you need heat packs, we have them in our store. Just add them to your order.
