All packages are shipped directly from Japan.Description Orville by Gibson Les Paul Vintage Sunburst 1992 LPS-T VSB Electric Guitar W/HC The “Orville” products were introduced in the late 1980s as officially licensed Gibson models to counter the Japanese copy models that were flooding the streets. They caused quite a stir. Unlike other companies’ copy models, the “Orville” was positioned as a “Gibson Japan” model, with the head shape and Les Paul Model logo being exactly the same as the original. The head shape was exactly the same as the original USA model, and the introduction of this high-quality series at an affordable price quietly brought an end to the boom in Japanese Les Paul copies such as those made by GRECO and TOKAI. This product, made in 1992 with a serial number “G2~”, has a laminated flame top, so it is listed as “LPS-T” in the 1992 catalog. (T = Tiger Stripe) High-end models with “by Gibson” on the head logo use Gibson USA-made PUs, and the rule for this series is that the PUs are the same as those used by GIBSON USA of that era, and this model is equipped with . In transitional periods, it is normal for the plate versions to differ, and it is highly likely that the same <490> plate is different, and (although it is not 100% certain as it is not a one-owner item) there is no solder roughness on the pot side, so we believe that it is safe to assume that the specs are the same as when it was shipped. The front of the body is very clean, but the back has paint damage appropriate to the age, including buckle wear. It also appears that the position marks have been repaired in the past, and there are some file marks that look like they were slightly scraped only in the areas where the position marks are located from the 7th fret onwards. ◎We have prepared an enlarged image of the 12th fret, which is the deepest scraped. Please check it out. It is not as deep as a scallop, so you won’t feel any discomfort while playing, and I think you won’t notice it unless someone points it out when the strings are on. (The owner also noticed it for the first time when he removed the strings and cleaned it.) There is almost no fret wear, and the neck is perfectly straight even now. Although the rod has a fairly heavy torque, it can be adjusted to a slight backbow with <10-46/regular tuning>. ◎There is little margin left in the clockwise direction, so if you use <10-46 gauge>, we recommend loosening the pegs when not in use.
