What does it sound like? -The JB and Jazz combo has been on more recordings than any other pickup combination…..ever. Used by pro’s on and off the road, engineers in studios all over the world, in tone enthusiasts bedrooms, and yes…..in your local bar. I’m willing to bet 90% off electric guitar players have played through a JB at some point. Why so popular? The JB and Jazz deliver a wide spectrum of tones that can be used for almost any style. The JB in the bridge is a hot pickup but retains it’s highs. This allows the pickup to go from high gain over driven rock/medal tones to fat but still bright and present sounds under low gain or clean. The SH-2n Jazz neck has more definition on the high end and a little less output. The tone is clear and present and doesn’t get muddy like many neck humbuckers. Great for individual note definition! AROUND 16.4K SH-2n Jazz neck ALNICO 5 MAGNET 4 CON WIRE NICKEL COVER SHORT LEG BOTTOM PLATE D.C. AROUND 7.72K NO LOGO 50’s style pre-wired Les Paul harness for Gibson and Epiphone Les Paul -The 50’s style wiring allows you to roll back on the volume and maintain more high end and clarity with less treble loss. Hand wired with the highest quality parts and cleanest solder connections. This wiring harness will give you the clearest signal possible with even and balanced volume/tone roll off. -4 x matched CTS 500k pots. Long shaft, 3/8″ wide bushing, 3/4″ long. (CTS makes the highest quality potentiometers with consistant and reliable readings). -2 volume 2 tone-.047mfd Sprague orange drop capacitor (produces a smooth and even treble roll off when cutting back on the tone controls)-Vintage style pull back cloth wire (7 strand 22 gauge wire for the strongest grounding connection)-Custom aluminum shield plate to insure proper grounding and noise reduction-Wiring diagram included NOTE: If you are replacing the electronics on an Epiphone Les Paul you may need to widen the potentiometer holes on the guitar. You may also need new plastic knob covers. Most Epiphones come stock with smaller pots.
