Strategy & Tactics #127 Rush to Glory 1846-1847 Rush for Glory is a simulation of the war between the United States and Mexico that erupted in April of 1846. Although the dispute was originally about a strip of territory between the Nueces and Rio Grande Rivers, the consequences of the war stripped Mexico of what is now much of the American southwest, including California. If we assume that America’s emergence as a superpower is one of the most notable features of the twentieth century, considering this, the Mexican War may be the most important war of the nineteenth century. This is an area movement game. The map consists of a number of important locations represented by individual circular areas. Each location is named for a city and may contain significant terrain features within each location. Each location is connected by transportation lines to other locations.
