Vibrant color, excellent registration and good centering lend nice eye appeal. Fun facts about George: Of all players with 5000 at bats, McBride has the lowest career batting average – .218.George made up for this with his excellent defense. He often lead the AL in double plays turned, fielding percentage and defensive WAR (28th all-time at any position).Such was his defensive prowess that McBride often received MVP votes despite his weak bat – he collected votes each season from 1911 to 1914.
