Up for purchase is a World Wide TW1000 Hallicrafters short wave radio. They were made by Hallicrafters of Chicago, Ill from 1952—1956. The one thing about the radio that it has it’s battery that you never see and doesn’t seem to work, the antenna is still intact and works so fine and last the wave magnet is still on the door also. The face is in good shape, usually has a crack done the middle. The leather is in really nice shape for its age with only a few scuffs. The radio measures 17” long, 8” deep and 12” high and weighs over 30 lbs. The radio works but only on 2 stations at my house so depending where you live you might get more. I only get stations on standard broadcast and I left the dial where I got the good one and yes there is static on most. There are four spare tubes mounted on the inside of radio and I have no idea whether they are new or used.
