This pie plate is preowned and NOT in brand-new condition. There are noticeable flaws with this plate that the term “As Is” is being used for this particular item in the item’s title. Some of these flaws will be listed further down in the description. Please look at the attached photos before making a purchasing decision. There is no original paperwork or packaging available for this item. Also, since there is no manufacturer warnings on the plate itself, or care instructions, use of the plate for baking and care will be left up to the discretion of the buyer. The recipe on the plate does call for baking at 350 degrees Fahrenheit, however, this plate has not been used, or the top temperature of this plate is not known with absolute certainty since this plate was purchased. This pie plate provides a recipe for an apple pie with colorful graphics and lettering that add to the plate’s charm. The “crimped” edges of the plate provide a decorative, or perhaps, a useful guide when crimping the pastry or dough before placing the pie in the oven if this plate is used. (Please see the following attached photos for visuals of the graphics and recipe on this plate” #1, #7 & #8.) Measurement: (This measurement is not guaranteed to be 100% accurate. The measurement was taken with a tape measure and is being provided to give an idea as to the overall size of the pie plate.) Diameter of the plate: Approximately 10.875″ (Measurement was taken from the outer “crimped” edge to the opposite edge.) Weight (pie plate only): Approximately 2lbs. 7.5oz. Condition of the pie plate: (Also see the attached photos for visuals of the plate’s condition.) There is visible scratching, scuffing and staining/discoloration throughout the pie plate on all sides. There is a crack on one of the crimped areas of the plate that is very visible when the plate is viewed from the top. This crack can be felt with a fingertip, however, it appears to be glazed around as if this is a manufacturing flaw. However, it is still a crack and a flaw in the plate. This crack does not go through to the other side of the plate. (Please see the following attached photos for visuals of this flaw: #3, #16 & #17.) There are chips on the edges of at least four of the crimped edges. These chips all appear to be filled with glaze and color as well, however, they are still visible flaws in the plate. These chips are also rough to the touch. (Please see attached photos #19 & #10 for visuals.) The underside, non-glazed portion of the plate has staining/discoloration, scuffing and scratching wear and tear. (Please see the following attached photos for visuals: #2, #9, #10 & #11.) The colors on both the graphics and the text on the plate while still vibrant, show wear and tear damage such the before mentioned scratching and scuffing. These colors have also faded with both time and preowned handling. This fading of colors will also apply to the overall color on the plate as well. There is another small, chip or crack type flaw on the underside of the plate. This flaw also appears to be glazed, however it is also visible and can be felt with a fingertip. (Please see attached photo #21 for a visual.) The color of the beige or brown color of the plate is uneven on various placed throughout the plate. (Please see attached photo #22 for a visual example of one of these areas.) There are “dots” or small stains that occur on various places throughout the plate. (Please see attached photo #23 for a visual example.) There are various other visual and textual flaws on the plate. Some of these flaws have chipped small places in the glaze away. Even with the flaws, these flaws give the plate a more “lived with” feel and provides some personality to the piece. These plate would be a charming and delightful addition to any kitchen decor or as a useful piece if it is purchased with a more practical view in mind. There are no returns accepted for this pie plate.
